Alif Yah’ya, born Oliver Christi Oates, is a passionate advocate for social justice whose education at La Salle University and Temple University School of Law shaped his mission. Inspired by the need to confront the overlooked realities of slavery, he wrote Children of the Sun to shed light on the suffering and resilience of enslaved people. His goal is not only to expose historical truths but also to create solutions that restore dignity and pride to those affected by this enduring legacy.
