Children of the Sun is a powerful and eye-opening account that confronts the dark, often ignored truths of American slavery and its enduring legacy. Written by Alif Yah’ya (formerly Oliver Christi Oates), this work is more than a historical reflection — it is a bold declaration of justice, identity, and remembrance.

In this poignant narrative, Yah’ya takes readers on a journey through the hidden corridors of history, exposing the brutal realities endured by those who were kidnapped, enslaved, and dehumanized. With scholarly insight and heartfelt conviction, he brings to light the illegal and inhumane treatment of African people whose stories have long been buried or distorted.
